Create your trading subaccount — OKX

Create and fund a dedicated sub-account on OKX so it's ready to run Alpha Pro.

This guide shows you how to create a dedicated sub-account and fund it on OKX.

Two things to check first:

  • Your OKX account must be on www.okx.com (Global) or my.okx.com (EEA). Accounts created on app.okx.com (US/AU regional) can't connect to the system.
  • Make sure KYC verification Level 1 is completed on your OKX account.

Why dedicated? Alpha Pro needs a space that only it uses. To keep the strategy working correctly, don't place manual trades or modify positions inside it once it's running.

Step 1 — Create a sub-account

Step 2 — Transfer funds

Your account needs to hold the minimum balance before you connect it — at least $30,000 USDT or USDC for Alpha 1x, or 0.4 BTC or $30,000 USDT or USDC for Alpha 2x. If the funds aren't there, connecting will fail with an "Insufficient Funds" error.

  1. If the funds aren't on OKX yet, follow the OKX deposit guide.
  2. Then move them to your sub-account: follow the OKX transfer guide. Make sure the assets end up in the sub-account's trading account — that's where spot trading happens on OKX.

What's next

Your account is ready. Continue with the setup guide to connect it to Alpha Pro: How to get started and set up Alpha Pro.
