This guide shows you how to create a dedicated sub-account and fund it on OKX.
Two things to check first:
- Your OKX account must be on www.okx.com (Global) or my.okx.com (EEA). Accounts created on app.okx.com (US/AU regional) can't connect to the system.
- Make sure KYC verification Level 1 is completed on your OKX account.
Why dedicated? Alpha Pro needs a space that only it uses. To keep the strategy working correctly, don't place manual trades or modify positions inside it once it's running.
Step 1 — Create a sub-account
Follow the official OKX guide on how to create a sub-account.
Step 2 — Transfer funds
Your account needs to hold the minimum balance before you connect it — at least $30,000 USDT or USDC for Alpha 1x, or 0.4 BTC or $30,000 USDT or USDC for Alpha 2x. If the funds aren't there, connecting will fail with an "Insufficient Funds" error.
- If the funds aren't on OKX yet, follow the OKX deposit guide.
- Then move them to your sub-account: follow the OKX transfer guide. Make sure the assets end up in the sub-account's trading account — that's where spot trading happens on OKX.
